Well I know nothing about game booster, but let me see if I can help...
Since you got dual core opition on, make sure you are using openGL plugin and not the DX one. Also make sure your games aren't on a net drive (like shared documents or something like that). Go in the dsp plugin opitions and put on the Enable Other Audio setting. Try turning the antialias under gfx settings off (gives me about 5 fps more), turn off bilinear filtering (3 more fps) and also turn off auto scale (3 more fps again)
In configuration, turn on all the Advanced settings, but most important, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LASTEST GFX DRIVERS.
Hope it helps!

but having two monitors really brings down the fps.

disable one monitor and games run much faster...

I call BS on this.
Having two monitors does not affect performance noticeably.
I have two monitors hooked up and have no issues with performance within Dolphin.
Disabling my 2nd monitor does not bring about any magical speed boosts.

im callin BS on that comment! lol ive seen three different cases where it brought the fps down by at least while having two different monitors within the computer setup.
