This tutorial is ONLY for Windows OS (x32, x64)

Well... somebody say that you can't speed up your dolphin emu (when you are playing) and that isn't true.

Well, this is an easy (but very effective) tutorial, and it will take 2 minutes.

If you want to speed up your Dolphin-Emu you must know that the other programs that you are using at the moment, will lose speed and so much lag.
If you want to proceed (you can change it when you want), only follow this tutorial.
(¡Optional!) #0. Close all the programs that you will not use. (Like JDownloader, MSN, Ares, Emule, Torrent...) 100% (incluse his process).
#1. Press at same time CTRL+ALT+SUPR to open the Windows task manager.
#2. Go to processes and right-click the dolphin-emu.exe process (if you don't find it go to Aplications (in same window) and right-click on Dolphin-Emu and then Go to process).
#3. Go to set priority (it will appear when you right click the Dolphin-emu.exe) and put it in High.
#3.2. If this don't work restart Dolphin, if it don't work too, restart you PC. Then it will work.

Before I did that my Pokémon Colosseum it's were above 25~40FPS and after i've do that it's going me above... 75~100FPS.

If you need a video to prove that, only tell my and I will edit this thread with the video.

Thanks! Big Grin With the help of this tutorial and this page:

...you will get good results. Do not forget those who use Windows Vista/7 to tell them to turn off Aero too. Smile

When I set my Asus to turbo mode using the asus utility it increases my fps by 6-10. So yea, it should help.

For most cases, Aero turns off automatically when running games in fullscreen mode.

The Basic scheme is a different story though.

Added a tip in the #1 post.
Quote:If you want a better performance, install the Windows 7 Gamer Edition by UndeadCrows.

Look my ftp in Pokémon Colosseum its by +75, and I have this:
Dolphin-emu.exe (process) in priority high.
The basic processes (for use windows) only activated.
And this pc stats:
Pentium® Dual-Core CPU T4300 @ 2.10GHz
Ram 4.0GB
OS 64 bits

In 5~10 minutes I will upload a video at this thread (with a downloable version) in HQ with my FPS and how to do it. Wink

Supr its the las button to press before the Windows task administrator opens.

But yes, I think it DEL... hm... in other words, just only open the task administrator. Wink

Either you have an insane amount of programs running or something is horrible wrong with your settings. I would love to be proven wrong though, setting process priority should not increase FPS by over 100%. Better get rid of the tip about Windows 7 Gamer Edition, first of all versions like that do not work and piracy is not allowed around here.

Well you are using a laptop, and it probably has an integrated graphics chip. Of course it would benefit even from shutting off unused apps. Most people on desktops wont see very dramatic fps increases though (that ramdisk program posted by darkshadow could help people with old rigs though)
