How to set game configs

Hi,

I'd like to set a specific game to use Audio=OpenAL. The game in question is Donkey Kong Country Returns. The audio is very choppy if I don't do it. But I don't want to do it in the main Dolphin settings because that will mess up other games. I'd like to do it in the game config INI file. What do I have to put there? Better yet, is there documentation somewhere on how to write INI game config files, to override Dolphin default settings?

Thanks,
Nuno

Unfortunately there is no documentation about that, perhaps i will try to write one. You should use a version above 4.0 - 101 to do that, or better use the latest development build since there was no audio backend choice possible via gameini before that rev. Just copy paste the lines below in your local gameini:
[DSP]
Backend = OpenAL

That's great, thanks.

Is there a way to keep my current Dolphin settings (and save games, etc.) while upgrading to the latest development build?

Thanks.

If you upgrade from 4.0 and not using a portable mode for dolphin, nothing is needed since your settings are common.

I see. So I guess I just drop the new build on the same folder overwriting everything. Thanks.
