Ok so I found this thread https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-dolphin-online-support?page=2&highlight=online and followed the video, everything installed perfectly but when I tried using the online feature in monster hunter tri it didn't seem to work..maybe it doesn't work with that game? Do you guys know anything?

Yes, we know one thing: wii-network branch contains only experimental code and it's not ready for online play, thus, we're not going to support it in the forums until the devs finish the work (if they finish, at all) and merge this branch to master.

Sorry if this post sounded rude, but it's getting annoying seeing 3-4 new threads per day about this just because somebody uploaded a YouTube video explaining how to get the certificates. If the branch we're ready and the devs needed help testing, I'm pretty sure they would open a development thread explaining how to test (and how to get the certificate files), as they did for nex-ax-hle, zcomplock, etc...

EDIT: Monster Hunter Tri servers got closed, you won't be able to play online anymore, even on a real Wii

Monster Hunter Tri on Wii no longer has online features. Capcom shut it down because it rereleased the game on Wii U, and didn't want people enjoying a game they already paid for.
