Hi -

I'm pretty new to Dolphin (though I've been a member of the forums for awhile) and I've run across something that I haven't been able to figure out yet - how to install DLC wads.

For example, Mega Man 9. I have a .wad which is apparently the DLC for the game. I've tried going to Tools / Install Wad but nothing seems to happen after that process completes. Furthermore, I checked the nand after doing this and got errors.

I'm a total newcomer here - I don't even know what the nand is or if it's relevant to what I'm doing. I have no clue how this stuff ties together. Could someone point me in the right direction? Are there any good videos out there that explain in detail how to accomplish things like this, and how everything works together? I've spent the past couple hours googling but haven't been able to find my answer yet.

Yeah, it appears to be broken right now and I'm not 100% sure how/why.

I messaged an expert in IOS-HLE to see if they could look into it.

Can you give me a full log with all the IOS logging enabled on INFO. If you just want to enable everything it'll work too, just means there will be other stuff we don't need. Please do it on a fresh NAND where you don't have anything broken installed.

I figured out how to do the logging with IOS on INFO, but how do I do it on a fresh NAND? Is there a certain folder within Documents/Dolphin Emulator that I can delete in order to get a fresh NAND?

And I assume that, as a part of this process, you want me to install the wad? So basically -

1. Get fresh NAND
2. Turn on logging as instructed
3. Tools / Install Wad / Install the wad
4. Send you the generated log file

Yep, that'd be perfect. We're trying to figure out where it's going wrong.

Sorry for being dense here - how exactly do I get a fresh NAND? Which folder do I want to delete?

Here's the log file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rKlFXSA...sp=sharing

I'm not 100% sure that I got a fresh NAND for this; I deleted every folder in Documents/Dolphin emulator except for the config and GC folders.

Yes, that will give you a fresh NAND. The NAND is stored in the Wii folder in Dolphin Emulator.

It's working for me now upon further inspection, I don't know why I was having issues earlier.

Our logs match yours but it's installed fine. Endless mode and whatnot are there.

I just tried again. I still have ?????? for the two modes..

What is the exact process you followed to install the DLC? Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or out of order?

Is there anything else I need to do prior to installing the wad? Like, updating the wii system? Or making sure I have a save file in mega man or anything else of that nature?

I'm just going to tools / install a wad and choosing the dlc wad. It asks if I want to install it b/c it's unsigned and I say "yes". But it still does not seem to be working for me. I've tried two different sources of the dlc at this point.

Try updating your Wii System Menu first I guess. I'm really not sure what would cause this.
