I want to erase the data and start off new, but the format option in the Wii menu doesn't work. It just stays on the "Formatting Wii" screen indefinitely. How would I be able to format it?
How to format the Wii system menu

delete the User Folder?
but make a backup (all saves are in there) User\Wii\title are all saves stored... so deleting all other folder should clear the wii

last time i tried, deleting saves/channels from the system menu itself works.
you could also clear user/wii/title/* except for user/wii/title/00000001/00000002 it should be needless to say, but don't try to use the resulting nand filesystem on a real wii 05-11-2012, 02:02 PM

yes, that does not work (with a few exceptions). If you had asked about that / mentioned that as the reason behind formatting you may have gotten the answer sooner.
run wads directly, or choose the tmd for a game to launch it (User/Wii/Title/<titleidHI>/<titleidLOW>/content/title.tmd) choosing the tmd is not the friendliest way, but if you don't have the wad it is the only way. also for frequently played games you could create a shortcut to fullpathtodolphin/dolphin.exe /e /fullpathtotmdfile/title.tmd 05-12-2012, 02:06 AM
