When I was using the stable version of 5.0, I was able to use the "apply" button to enable cheats in-the-moment, which was handy for some of the more temperamental codes that didn't like loading zones. Now that I'm on 16380, that functionality is gone? Is it an option I need to re-tick, or was this feature just... Removed from the entire thing?

I can still change cheats on the fly via the main window → Tools → Cheats Manager → Tab "AR Code" or "Gecko Codes". Ticking (and unticking) makes it automatically apply.

Is there some sort of setting I have to enable in order to make that function that way? When I enable and disable things, they don't automatically apply, only after closing and reopening the game can I make them work, which isn't ideal for what I'm trying to do.

I just tested this in master (5.0-16713) and as far as I can tell this works just fine *if* you use the Cheats Manager under Tools -> Cheats Manager. If you do it on the game Properties it doesn't apply until you re-boot. That's a bit confusing IMO and should probably be clearer (or changed altogether), but it seems to work at least.

If this doesn't work for you either, can you provide more details on what exactly you're doing?
