How to disable keyboard shortcuts on EEE PC 1000H (XP)

When I play DOS games the built-in keyboard shortcuts frequently crash the game. Particularly CTRL+ALT+[arrow key] for flipping the screen. Not sure if this is an XP or EEE PC command, but it's really annoying. Is there a way to disable this without editing the registry? Also, is there a way to disable the "Windows key" (start menu shortcut key) without editing the registry? Thanks,
