Question
Hi!
I got a Wii at home and I want to replace it using my Media Center.

I've already done the following:
- Installed the Dolphin Emu (4.0)
- Dump all the games I got
- Homebrewed my Wii to get the original NAND of my own Wii
- integrated the nessecary files of the NAND into the Dolphin Emu for System Menu, Savegames and Channels
- Connected the Wii-Motion to the System and used it successfully

Now I can start the Wii System Menu and got all my Channels and Savegames I've used before on my Wii.
So long so good, but I'm not able to start the Channels directly through the System Menu.
If I start the Channels by Hand they're working properly (For example the Mii Channel itself works and got all my created Mii)

Is it possible to start a Channel or a Game directly via the System Menu?

If it's not possible is there a way to start a Wii-Game or a Wii-Channel directly using a command line or something else without the dolphin software?

If it's possible I want to integrate one Button to the Wii System Menu into my Media Center Software to start it directly from it. But this doesn't make sense if I'm not able to launch a Game or a Channel from the System Menu.
Then when it's not possible to start something from the System Menu I want to create many Buttons for each Game and Channel to start it directly.

But what happend if I want to close a Game. Is there a way to close a Game or Channel and also close the whole Emu so I can get back to my Media Center.

Actually I'm only using a remote for my Media Center and don't want to switch to Mouse and Keyboard between the usage of Remote and Wiimote.

Thanks for your help!

Seraphim

Known bug. When ES_Launch was merged it had this capability, but for some weird reason it killed multiple wiimote support. Until that issue is revolved it won't be possible to launch from the system menu.

Actually, you can start the channels directly from command line by pointing to the "title.tmd" file of that channel. For example, you can launch Wii Menu from command line by pointing Dolphin to <global directory>\Wii\title\00000001\00000002\content\title.tmd or Mii Channel by pointing to <global directory>\Wii\title\00010002\48414341\content\title.tmd

Hi,
First, Thanks a lot for your answers!

So, normally it should be able to start the channels using the System Menu but it doesn't actually, right?
Is it possible that the bug will be fixed in the future?
I don't really know how active the team around Dolphin is.

I just managed it to start a Program like System Menu, or Channel.
Sorry for that, I don't even got the idea to pull the .tmd on the dolphin.exe. The shown Error already got the necessary informations. Big Grin

I got a further question:
Is there a way to quit the Emulator using the Wiimote?
If I try to shut down the same way I turn off the Wii (Press the Power-Button on the Wii-Mote for a few seconds) only the Wii-Mote disconnect but the Program is still running.

It would be great if I can close the whole dolphin after using it to turn back to my media center.

Tanks a lot!

You said that you wanted to put a button for Dolphin in your Media Center Software... Since the System Menu isn't fully functional, you could add buttons to launch specific channels directly by command line, all you need to do is pointing Dolphin.exe to the corresponding title.tmd of that channel

This never worked well in Dolphin... And as far as I know, none of the team members are working in that right now

No, Dolphin doesn't do this. In fact, even with GlovePIE, this button can't be mapped...
