Don't go for the PhD unless you really want it. These days they're rarely worth it unless you're doing something very specialized. But I would talk to your professor regarding what potential career doors it could open for you before making that decision.
If I were in your position I would contact those two companies that you mentioned and see what they offer you. And then go with whichever one pays better and has a better "community". I find that any type of work becomes infinitely more bearable when you have good coworkers that you get along well with. Pay on the other hand doesn't really make the work feel any less/more tedious. Do you know anybody at either of these companies well?
