Some people when they see how much dolphin is better then wii/gc might just stop using wii/gc and sell it,but ofc keep their original games. And people can buy games just to play it on dolphin,I mean what is the difference ? If someone is paying for a game to play it on a wii, then that same person will pay for the game to play it on dolphin. Someone who pirates, will pirate either way,its very easy to mod wii/gc to play pirated games 09-29-2012, 08:44 PM
I think what neobrain meant was that while it is possible to own the games but not the console itself like you say, this doesn't happen a lot. Most of the people here who don't have the console are pirates; this is just an observation we're able to make having monitored these forums for a while. A very slim minority legitimately dump with special DVD drives, and probably even fewer sell their Wiis but keep backups of their games, either for Dolphin or storage. It's legal in the States here to play GC and Wii games on Dolphin without ever having purchased one of Nintendo's consoles but it's very rare to find someone in that position.

Dolphin was made to emulate games as fine as possible like other emulators. Dolphin has issues like other emulators. But Dolphin needs a heavy CPU. If you don't have or can't get this heavy CPU yeah just buy a Wii

Dolphin is better in this (Anti-Aliasing, Anisotropic Filtering etc) ^^ 09-30-2012, 07:11 AM
It won't improve the image quality at all. It's unlikely that it will even be better than the scaler in your TV. Some people prefer the look of certain scaler algorithms but that's subjective.

Just a curiosity. What exactly tells the console what resolution to render at?
