I have a question regarding Super Mario Galaxy. I have everything configured the way I like. However I have a rather large issue: my mouse is set up to be the IR which in SMG is used to collect "star bits" which are needed to progress through the game. The issue is it keeps on bugging out as the video below demonstrates...

Note: I am not entirely sure if this should be in the "Super Mario Galaxy" thread or if it deserves its own topics. I'll leave that to the moderators or administrator.

Use the default "Cursor" mappings for IR, not "Axis" like you seem to have done.

I actually found a solution: I just set it up so the right stick is the IR. That seems to work well (and I like it better).

However I also got a new problem: the cursor won't go away and it is dead center in the middle of the screen, because since my joystick always goes back to the middle (like it should) the game thinks I am pointing in the middle of the screen. On an actual Wii I could just point it away, but I can't really do that... any ideas?

What you want can't be done with Dolphin alone. see: https://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=3033

On second thought this is more trouble than its worth - I think I'll just stick with the good old mouse.

I'm trying to get the "IR" to reset to the default mouse setting, but it doesn't seem to want to.

Right click on Up/Down/Left/Right and pick up in the list
