I guess the real answer for Coral Beef`s question is that it depends. Some people do, some dont, an emulator can and do have multiple purposes
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64bit Creators Update
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 960 @ 3.6 GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 2GB GDDR5
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-870A-USB3 AM3+ Revision
RAM: HyperX 8GB Dual Channel @ 1600Mhz

I suppose you're right.

But for me it's logical to complete the games if I emulate them. Shouldn't be different then completing them on the real system.

The emulation was the reason, why i bought a new computer last year. I dont regret it.

Ive just finsished "Resident Evil" (Dolphin) and "Onimusha" (PCSX2) the last week.
REmake in 1,5x res (looks more harmonic from my point of view, if the res isnt that high) and 9xAA looks so much better than on GC/Wii.
Both runs smooth and nearly flawless.

Heres one pic of the most beautiful monster of all time.

I am happy to have the emulation-possibility.
My current desktop-system:

OS: Win8.1x64
CPU: i5 2500k @ 4,2 GHz
GPU: nVidia 560 Ti

I wouldn't touch anything from my Wii collection if it wasn't for dolphin. If a console plugged in to the tv is less powerful than another, I go for the more powerful one in every situation, so only my XBox gets used. On a pc I can bring them to about level.

Wouldn't you ever feel the urge to play Mario Galaxy? Big Grin

Because seriously, the point of having a wii in 2012 is the exclusives..

Substituting Wii with post N64 Nintendo console is also correct.

Not really, as I got stuck really early on when it was new. I'm not sure why, but it will probably be one of those things that I come back to years later and get past without noticing I'd got to the bit I was stuck on.

I kinda know how AnyOldName feels. Some games for the Wii that I have, I just don't play. Yes, that includes both SMG games. I've had both since their release, but I've never beaten either. I only had about 17 stars in the first one, and 40 something in the second one.

Dunno, I just can't get into them. I think it might be the nunchuck control scheme that turns me off. I really enjoyed Super Mario 3D Land, and I'm having lots of fun with Super Mario Sunshine on Dolphin. Perhaps if I got around to playing SMG on Dolphin, I'd like it more with a good old joypad. As it stands though, I have no real serious interest in the SMG games.

SMG was the game I was most eager to emulate, but alas I had bought my second choice of computer, so don't have a 2500K, so can't expect much with reliable sound.
