they are gonna give us a new power pack
how nvidia is gonna fight this???

The worst for Nvidia , is that ATI hasn't even released their 59xx series yet wichwill certainly compete vs the GT300

they wont fight it unless they are suddenly going to come up with a new architecture for their gpu's cause the license with intel is over (or they lengthen the license; also an option)

When first confronting the thread title, i expected to see an explanation.
Rather than a peculiarly phrased question. Regardless, I was relieved with straight forward answers (In English) within the thread itself. Keep trying anyway my friend. 10-27-2009, 11:53 AM
Poor nvivia... I just switched to an ATI card! WAY better performance!

I have a good geforce 260GTX right now, it's working very well on the latest games for now.
And i don't want to switch to ATI unless they have no PhysX-CPU's on their cards. Btw.: Does ATI currently have any cheap graphics-cards that would have a better performance than my 260GTX ?

The 5850 and 5870 ati dx 11 cards are a bit faster then a GTX 285/295 (5870 outperformed GTX295's and 5850 seem to be on par with GTX285's. Search up the numbers but last time I checked the 5850 was about 8-10 fps faster and 5870 was about 30 fps faster to a gtx285. Most reviews you find compares them to the gtx 285 and 295 cards. check tomshardware and legitreviews and forums and it all seems to show 5000 series kickin ass right now. Lets not include that the 5000 series can be cheaper. I'm a longtime fan of nvidia but ati has some pwn ass 5000 series cards and for the price its omg. the 5770 is around 170 and 5750 around 130. So yeah kuno I believe these big boy 5000 series cards would outperforms your gtx260. 260 prob close to a 5770 but 5770 are a bit cheaper. To me though i'm a budger man and if you a mid level gamer price of GTS 250 is better then the 5000 series(price/performance) but I believe some 4000 ati series cards beats it for price/performance. But then you if you like low temps/power consumption the gts 250 seems to win on those too. Middle of row is who knows with alot of cards equaling each other.. Ati really comes to its own in the High HIGH end video cards.
5870>GTX295 _____ 5870 $389-400 US_____GTX 295 $400- to ungodly $560 US 5850>GTX285 _____ 5850 $259-299 US_____GTX285 $324-389 US 5770>=GTX260 ____ 5770 $159-175 US ___ GTX260 $159-220 US <-- depends really on card of either ATI or Nividia. OC editions etc etc. Really no clue who really wins here. 5750>GTS250 _____ 5750 $129-150 US ___ GTS 250 $100-150 US Thats the best estimate I can come out with. But then you have to add the drivers to the mix which nividia seems to have a leg up. ALso think about phsX games and seems nvidia cards run better with it compared to ati. Thats the best I can figure out.
