I've been monitoring Dolphin's RAM requirements, since I got curious about those 2-6 GB.

As far as I could see, Dolphin used 300-400 MB on my PC, so I'd say it needs about 1 GB.

How did you get Dolphin to use up to 6 GB?
I'm just curious, that's all...
Coincidence does not exist.
We only believe it does, because we never know what happens beyond our visions and thoughts.

I'm curious about that too... considering Dolphin uses only 400MB or so on my side

Try EFB to RAM and see how the usage increases.
Also on 64-Bit Windows already uses 2-3GB and this is why i recommend 6GB

played for a while
Crazy Taxi (GC) - 291MB
Metroid Prime 1 (GC) - 600MB
Tales of Symphonia - 370MB

all with EFB copy to RAM with Cache Enabled and EFB scaled copy enabled (EFB scale to 1x)
MP1 with max settings on everything and everything enabled
Probably why these games are on my laptop

2GB is enough for dolphin but you should grab 4GB just in case (for other applications).
