Question
Hello guys i am new to this forum and i have some issues with dolphin .
First off all well-done for your great work Smile Smile SmileSmile , if you were not you i will never had the change to play games that i always want it like Zelda Heart .
Ok lets go to my question i have a laptop with this specs I5 450 , ATI 5165 GDDR3 1GB , 4 GB DDR3 RAM and HDD 500 GB 7200 RPM , the first game i try to play is Metroid Prime for GC and i have up and down values for FPS and Speed .
I start the game with 37 fps and 75-85 speed and after few second drop to 10 fps 23-26 speed and the again 37 fps and 75-85 speed .
Why i have that issues i believe i have a strong laptop i can play Crysis and Mass Effect 2 in descent fps and analysis and i can not play a game for GC !!! is this possible ??? .
Finally is a way to run the games with good speed and fps or not .
Thanks you for the time you spend reading my message and sorry for the big post ShyShyShy

It's not a hi end pc but has a decent cpu but with a bit weak gpu ( 5150 is bottom of 5000 series).
By the way dolphin requires A LOT of Cpu to run well, so maybe dual core over 3 ghz runs almost any games decently.
try looking here: http://www.dolphin-emu.org/performance.html

I'm in the process of writing up a complete in depth performance and configuration guide for Dolphin. The guide will contain information, not only how to get the best performance with Dolphin, but the best mix of both performance and quality providing adequate hardware is used. I haven't had time to finish it, I've mostly been working on it little by little and adding stuff according to testing I've been doing.
