I am using a Mayflash GC controller adapter. Dolphin recognises this as a Wii Classic Controller, which means Smash Bros Melee can't use it. How do I fix this? How do I make Dolphin recognize a Wii Classic Controller as a Gamecube controller?
How do you use a Wii classic controller as a Gamecube one?

I have connected a real Wiimote to dolphin. Attached to this Wiimote is a Mayflash GameCube controller adapter:
http://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-Nintendo-...B00BS520SG This adapter tricks a Wii (and Dolphin as well) into thinking the connected GC controller is a Wii Classic Controller. However, since Dolphin recognizes it as a Wii Classic Controller, I can't use it with Smash Bros Melee (or any GC game), as those games don't support the Wii Classic Controller. How can I make this controller work for GC games anyway? 10-15-2014, 06:50 AM
Oh that kind of adapter, you will need to use something like glovepie to tell it what to set the controls to, dolphin can not do this on its own.

Thanks for your help! However, Glovepie does not seem to support analog sticks, binding the directions of my GC controller to single buttons, effectively making it a Dpad. Is there any other software that I can use?

GlovePie will work with analogue sticks if you have PPJoy installed too, but PPJoy requires you to disable driver signature checking or something, and that's a security risk.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X RAM: 48GB GPU: Radeon 7800 XT
The DolphinBar can do this without any of the hassle of Glovepie and PPJoy. Details are in the review -> https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2014/08/23/...ar-review/
To Extremedude2 and AON3: Intel Xeon w7-3465X OC | Asus Pro WS W790-E Sage SE | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 FE | 8x16GiB G-Skill Zeta R5 DDR5-6000 | Windows 11 23H2 | (details)
MacBook Pro 14in | M1 Max (32 GPU Cores) | 64GB LPDDR5 6400 | macOS 13
Before you spend the money do know that the precision of both analogs sticks is significantly less of the GC. The wii attachment protocol for Left stick is 6 bit, and the right is 5. So you only get 63 levels of left stick and 31 of right, where the GC controller has 256 of both.
