How do you overclock a hp pavillion cpu?

The chipset and fsb info?

Cpu-z displays a lot of info, bus and fsb as well.
In DxDiag you might get lucky and see the chipset model, if you have no idea, post your laptop model.

Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 - 2.4 ghz - 1066 FSB (bus speed 266).

yea tht rite...lol i just got the cpu-z into my laptopp...lol

clockgen doesnt work...said it couldnt init the driver

huh?? lol sorry...i tried this before but nothing was compatable or sumthing like tht...but idk wat ur talking about...sorry im really new to overclocking and stuff like tht...i kno theres nothing in the bios tht would allow me to overclock...but idk wat the fsb it

ok nvm i dont need to overclock my fsb...i have 6gb of it and only a max of 40% is used with dolphin on.

Yeah its better like that + to have a stable computer with 6 gb "stable" is not that Easy !

i bought it like this...lol but the cpu worries me cuz when i use dolphin it will idle 96-100% of the cpu at any time
