Hey, I just downloaded Dolphin and when I tried to start a game it says ''The Memory Card in Slot A is corrupted and needs to be formatted. Would you like to format the memory card now?'' When I click yes it says ''The Memory Card in Slot A cannot be used with this game.'' I have no idea how to solve this, help would be greatly appreciated! Smile

Navigate to your Dolphin settings folder; by default you can find this in My Documents/Dolphin Emulator and delete Dolphin.ini and try again.

Oh whoops, it's in the Config folder.
Also, you're using the latest development version correct? Could you please keep your profile up to date with whatever build you're using to avoid confusion?

Do you have save games on your memory card? You can check them memory cards with the memcard manager in Dolphin to verify.
Otherwise either delete or rename the memory card(s) in My Documents/Dolphin Emulator/GC and try again.

As a last resort you can simply create a "portable.txt" file in the latest development build folder you've downloaded where Dolphin.exe is. That'll put all the settings there, sort of like a stand-alone.

I have no saves at my Memory Card. I don't even know if I have one, do you need to make a Memory Card yourself or does Dolphin do it for you?

Also, I have no idea how the Memcard manager works x)

Did you go to the directories I've specified above? The My Documents/Dolphin Emulator/GC directory will contain your memory cards and they will be named MemoryCardA.USA.raw for US.
You do not need to do anything as Dolphin should create one for you.

The memcard manager is really straight-forward; you can access it from Dolphin -> Tools -> Memcard manager and browse to the memory card and it'll open up.

I did that just now and I still get the same error messages as I did the first time.

''The Memory Card in Slot A is corrupted and needs to be formatted. Would you like to format the memory card now?'' When I click yes it says ''The Memory Card in Slot A cannot be used with this game.''

Forgot to ask, but what game are you trying to play?
