How do I use my Xbox 360 Controller to emulate a GC controller when playing Wii?

hii,

uhm, i'm trying to get my Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to be detected as a GameCube controller while I play my Wii games in Dolphin, but I can never get it to function, as if i'm mandated to pick up a Wii-remote and Nunchuck to play ALL of my games, despite that it would probably be preferable to play them using a GC controller, such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I'd really rather not have to be forced to assign an emulated wii-remote button associations. I'd rather just have the emulator pretend i'm emulating a gamecube controller plugged into a wii, as it would be infinitely easier to map out all the buttons.

can anyone please help me? thanks!

Edit: nevermind, i scoured through the forums and found that the game i was playing, resident evil 4, required the wii-remote to start up, but you can virtually disconnect it and it would auto-detect the controller -- which it did! now to tinker with my graphics settings hehe

Do you play other games? I only wanna play the New Super Mario Bros Wii. When I entered GCPad and set the buttons there, the xbox360 wireless controller seemed fine. But when I actually entered the game, the xbox wireless controller is not responsive at all. I don't get it. Thanks,

@supermann this game uses the wiimote not a GC controller.
