I see how to do it for an emulated wii mote but not an actual one. Can anyone tell me what steps to follow? Thank you.

You mean you have a real Wiimote, but you don't have a real nunchuk, and you want Dolphin to emulate the nunchuk correct? Instead of choosing "Real Wiimote" or "Emulated Wiimote", choose "Hybrid Wiimote". That should be what you want.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I have a real wiimote and nunchuk but the game I'm playing still says "Please use nunchuk to play this game" even with the wii mote synced and the nunchuk plugged in. I figured I missed a simple step somewhere in the config settings.

Some background info would probably be helpful then Big Grin

Which game(s) are you trying to play? Additionally, are you using a 3rd-party Wiimote or Nunchuk? Does your Wiimote work in other games? If not, perhaps you might need to change bluetooth stacks.

Ah I see, so it should work simply by plugging it in. Hmm.

I'm trying to play The Last Story. Both are first party. This is actually my first time trying anything so I'm not sure, I think I'll try it out on some other games to see. The wiimote responds though, home button works, etc. For some reason The Last Story doesn't see my nunchuk I suppose... Thanks for helping me with his by the way.

@Irrelevent_pelican (off-topic) please update your PC stats in your profile. If you ever wanted to post another thread or ask another question, we couldn't help you. If you really don't know, find the box your PC came in (unless you built it yourself, but then you should know Tongue). That should tell you. Or get CPU-Z. Smile

For this game the best deal is to use Classic Controller rather than Wiimote + Nunchuk.
If you don't own CC you can use "Emulated Wiimote". But choose "Classic" instead of "Nunchuk"

Try also booting the game only with the Wiimote, and plug the Nunchuck only when asked by the game, this may fix "nunchuck not detected" issues in some games...
