Hey guys. I've been trying to get my classic controller to work for GC games (Paper Mario) for around 5 hours now and nothing is working. I'm giving up and asking you guys for help Undecided

Does anyone here have a simple guide to set up a classic controller for GC games? Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks.

edit: i'm a complete newbie when it comes to stuff like ppjoy/glovepie/etc, so step by step instructions will be great, thanks!

Classic controller for what, exactly? Do you mean this one?

If so, then the simplest way is to get glovepie and to set each of its inputs to a keyboard input (so you don't have to bother with PPJoy) and setting these keyboard inputs to an emulated GC pad in Dolphin. This will require you getting your Wiimote set up with your Bluetooth.

I can't be much more help without more details, and as I don't have a Classic controller, can't be much help writing a glovepie script.

Try writing:

Wiimote.Led1 = keyboard.NUMPAD1
Wiimote.Led2 = keyboard.NUMPAD2
Wiimote.Led3 = keyboard.NUMPAD3
Wiimote.Led4 = keyboard.NUMPADENTER

and hitting 1, 2, 3, and Enter on your number pad. It should settle down the lights if they're going to work.

does it have anything to do with the version of glovepie im using? and do I need ppjoy for this to work? glovepie doesnt seem to interact with my wiimote at all, nonethless my computer reacting to it either

If your wiimote is connected properly and glovepie is running you should be able to control the lights without PPJoy.

The wiimote is indeed connected properly, and glovepie is running. I just don't know what's wrong..

I'm inclined to say it isn't.

I don't think I can be much more help. Wiimotes are temperamental beasts, and it's amazing that we can make them do what they weren't designed to. If occasionally it doesn't work, then it's because hacks can rarely be guaranteed. Basically, the most help I can be is to say:

"It don't be workin'..."

That's because it was designed specifically to do just that.
