How do I update Wii menu 3.1 to 4.0/4.2 without WiFi? (SD?) (SUCCESS)

3.2 is fucking retarded

4.1 is what you want (or 4.2, but thats more tricky if you dont know wtf youre doing).
also, i'd suggest updating a system menu manually and not letting some crap region rape program do it for you.
just get 4.1 of your region + IOS60 v6174 (VERY IMPORTANT which version!)

NSMB PAL had 4.2 (the full update including boot2v4).
same happend with SMG2, apparently the NTSC version already had 4.3

I successfully updated her Wii (WiFi had a password, I unlocked it and made a new one, but her stepfather did something with the wireless when he was going away) so I installed BootMii on Boot2 and HBC, then made NAND backup, then updated to 4.1 offline mode, then installed some IOS's and Trucha Bug Restorer and preloader (BTW I saw your name DacoTaco XD), now everything works fine, but I wonder if she runs SMG2 from my original disc, will it brick? I don't want her to update to 4.2... (BTW, I used skip update check on preloader)....
But yeah we were busy for hours, and later we went somewhere, when I came home, my dad took my screen and connected to his PC and want me to use his crappy screen that hurt my eyes, I was angered like 'WTF, you only update your navigation system, and use defragmentation and cleanup, sometimes listen music, and you took my 17 inch screen?'' He just wants to piss me off and find work. He always abuses me and made me sick, now I'm going to wait and try hard to find work, tried hard-core but failed to find work... buying HD television when I manage to find work and play Dolphin on it...
I'm so sick of this dude... I always try to help people, but I always get hurt in return...

also, you probably installed priiloader if you saw my name. and do you understand now why i know so much on the subject?


either way, if you enabled the hacks to disable the updates check of discs then you are good to go (but keep in mind it could refuse to boot with some games cause they do require an IOS update )

and lol, 17"? fucking small shit (<3 my 18 & 23" screens )

I can go on my own PC again XD I played music from Nintendo 64 on my MP3 and my dad was angered by it somehow, but he gave me back my screen (maybe he recalled the time when I was 7 years old and showed some mercy), by the way thanks for developing Priiloader. At least it will block 4.3 update...
