I've been following instructions on the forum as to how to dump Wii games, and so far, it's been very helpful. I've bought the right disc drive (LG 8163B) and have started using Raw Dump 2.1 to dump my games.

Even so, I've heard first-hand that there are programs out there that can dump my games much faster than Raw Dump. Specifically, ImgBurn is said to dump a Wii game in about 20 minutes, compared to Raw Dump which takes about two and a half hours.

However, when I attempted to dump Super Mario Galaxy using ImgBurn (2.5.6), it returned read errors. It was unable to read the first sector of the disc.

I've tried changing the read speed to many different speeds, yet none worked. I also tried saving to BIN and IMG file formats instead of just ISO. Nothing worked.

I have searched extensively and have not been able to find a guide or any helpful information. I figure that someone here must have used the program successfully and can help guide me through the process.

I appreciate your help!

According to a tutorial found via Google it should be possible to dump the games with ImgBurn

But I don't have any experience from this myself as I used the Wii to do the dirty work for me.

I tried dumping Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door but that didn't work. I also tried dumping Mario Golf: Toadstall Tour with ImgBurn 2.4.4 (to try earlier versions) and it still didn't work.

Have you tried friidump? It's another dumper that could be faster. No guarantees though.

Are there any dvd burners on Newegg right now that can read Wii discs?

I tried Friidump 0.4 and it was slower.
