How can i play with my friends?

So i started playing animal crossing:city folk and i want to play with my friends. How can i do that?? Huh

I'm not too familiar with the game, but given that the official servers are no longer up I don't think you can unless someone else is hosting some.

i know that the servers are down but im asking is there any other way
