How can I keep my saves when I upgrade Dolphin ?

Hello

I want to download a new version of dolphin ... I've got 50 release to catch ...
It's so quick with dolphin lol

But how can I keep my saves and upgrade with a new version ...?
I dont want to loose my saves ...

do nothing...
just copy the new dolphin files over...

new dolphin installation... has 0 saves
so no saves are overwritten

but dont forget!
savestates probably dont work with new revision..
make a normal save ingame

Hmmm. Do you know where are the save states located? Or the regular in-game saves? Thanks

I think the saves are under User/Wii/title/00010000/(your games should be here in separate folders). I haven't run in to any problems just copying the entire User folder over but I'd imagine that has the potential to cause conflicts in one way or another.

To avoid issues, copy only the "User\GC" and the "User\Wii" folder to move your saves to a new revision (you may need also to move "User\GameConfig" if you have set custom parameters for your games or if you added action replay codes, etc)...

Does this also work for going backwords, i.e. from a newer to older revision?
