The gamecube has far less memory and cpu power than my computer, and it's 13 years old. Why shouldn't a computer with superior hardware be able to run a 12 year old game properly?
That's not how emulation works.
This. Emulation requires your computer to simulate the system, not just play the game. It requires a significant amount of power to run games for consoles as old as the Gamecube. Think of it this way - we are unable to create emulators for the Xbox 360 and PS3 that can run at playable speeds even on the most powerful of computers, and they were released 7 years ago.
