I have allot of saves for many games now, how much memory do you get to save wii and game cube games? Also, how can I check how full the memory cards are? One last thing, how can I erase individual game data's?
How can I check how full my dolphin memory is?

For GC games at least you can take a look at the Tools > Memcard Manager (GC) though i would not suggest messing around with it as it can corrupt the Memory Card file.
You have more than enough Memory i am sure of that you get 2043 Blocks per Memory Card so i would think that is enough (its close to what the Wii System Memory has)

Ah, sweet I had a look at the card manager, but couldn't make any sense of it, the columns were empty! I'm not messing with it though. you see I know how to delete the wii saves(right click game and delete save file), but gc games don't have that options, and not all of the let you delete the save from within the game I don't think. Its nice to know I'm not likely to run out of space though. I am aware of the perils of messing with save data, I accidentally clicked export save instead of open save folder for my smash bros save data, and the data got corrupted, just as well I never got to far into the game. 10-26-2011, 07:41 AM

Columns were empty? You mean nothing in MC A and MC B? Well you just have to use "browse" to choose your MC and then use "delete" if you want some files away

Just tried that with two save files i wanted to get rid of but nothing would happen no message or anything its like the MC Manager can not delete save files for some reason. odd i was able to delete two save files from MemoryCardA.EUR.raw but not from the USA MC A Card.

Messages will not appear if you dont have Panic Handlers enabled in the Dolphin config. as far as I know all reported issues with the memorycard manager have either been resolved (years ago) or caused by a corrupted memorycard. That being said if you have a reproducible error with the memorycard manager please report it, including the steps to reproduce the issue, as well as the memorycard file from before and after the issue if possible. 10-26-2011, 09:14 AM

probably is corrupted, I would need to look at the file myself to be certain. If you want to upload it I can take a look at it when I get time (unless i see corruption immediately I won't have time to look at it closely until december). You should be able to just use it or follow the error message (excluding games which have protected save files fzero, pso).
as far as the original question each memory card has 2048 blocks that can be used by up to 127 different games, so even if you have saves for every game you would need around 3-4 memorycard files per region wii savegame space in dolphin should be infinite as dolphin always reports the same amount of free space (may not be the method used by all games) 10-26-2011, 07:00 PM

If you can export try this : export your whole MC to another MC (in another Dolphin version for example). Delete your MC (after verifying your savefiles work on the other MC). Put the new MC instead of the old one. Then you should be able to clean up your MC as you want. Not academical but it should work ![]()
