Hello, I'm not a advanced programmer, but i'd love to get involved with some of the basic areas of the emulator.
I've been messing around trying to create some simple features like an easy option to enable portable directories:

but idk is that a suitable location for it, or should it rather go in some other tabs  Undecided
I've read in the feature requests people want this feature, don't know is it absolutely necessary though...

I've also thought about adding a settings reset option, and customizable colours for the on-screen messages  Big Grin, i also don't want to be adding useless features that nobody will use, so I'm just posting this to ask what you think about a portable directory tickbox, or any other ideas that don't require extreme skills Big Grin

Sure. How about adding it to the Path tab?

If you'd like to contribute, make sure to drop by #dolphin-dev on Freenode IRC; there's lots of people there who can help answer questions so you don't have to dive around without any help!

That looks fine to me.

Just a quick note that someone report that the memory card paths are sometimes not relative in portable mode.  Would you look into that too?

Thank you, I found that issue, and I can't recreate it, every time it works just as it should, paths always correspond properly to the location stored in the .ini files. I'll still try to experiment see what's going on but the .ini files memory card paths do update themselves in portable mode even when the folder is moved to another drive...
