How are these specs?

Hi, I'm building a computer for the first time, and I wanted to post the parts here to get some feed back on how they would work for dolphin. Also, please tell me if there are any compatibility problems that will happen with these parts, and what kinds of performance I can expect (resolution, AA, FPS). I'm not going all out, I just want a good PC that can play dolphin well.

You will OC your CPU sooner or later , it should reach 3.8Ghz easily
Res : 1366x768 or 1600x900 for best framerate , FullHD may cause slowdown
AA : 4x
Most game should run well

64-bit OS, went with AMD cause its cheaper . Is this good, or is it overkill?

amd sucks 10-30% slower then i5/i7/sandybridge with same clock

you dont need to give the HDD size, thats somewhat irrelevant
you dont need to give the PSU spec, thats somewhat irrelevant
you dont need to give the motherboard spec, thats somewhat irrelevant
you dont need to give the details of the damn case either

Wait a month and spend the extra money on an i5 2500 or i5 2500k + a P67 mobo from asus. You'll thank me later.

Ok, Here's my final specs

Intel Core i5 (Sandy Bridge) 3.1 GHz
8 GB 1333 DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 1 GB
Windows 7 64-bit.

Should I go with the Core i5, or will a Core 2 or Core i3 be enough for Dolphin?

i5 is faster although core 2 or i3 will be okay

I would suggest you get 4 Gbytes of ram and a better graphic card instead (gtx 460).
