I started play game yesterday, on r5081. Its perfectly fullspeed playable but game randomly freeze, sometimes on middle of level or at the end during boss. When game freeze graphics stop and music continue to play. Just wanted to inform as I didn't found topic about this game and I think it was considered state>>ingame only.

r5081 x64 - from those compiled on intel compiler. I tried to change between openal and dsound but no effect. Maybe I try other options now and update post later. Game is PAL.

EDIT1: hmm this is funny, when turning of "dual core" option game runs and I can hear sound but display stays black. Turning DC back shows graphics fine.
EDIT2: I feel that "idle skipping" option make characters movement less smooth and more quick/erratic but maybe its just me...
EDIT3: Ok I must give up here, cannot pass 4 level with any settings as it randomly freeze usually in later part of level. Dualcore mode off *maybe* would help but graphics doesn't show then at all. So thats it for now..

Did you use EFB to Texture copying, safe texture cache off, framelimit off? With these settings, I got through the game. Only minor semi-freezes during first boss after firing 40 ammo or so, but it returned after a few seconds.

Not liking seeing people post a Game issue in the SVN discussion. Though you are stating you tried a specific svn, this is really not the place to discuss a problem you having with the game. Support or game discussion is really the correct venue for this.

lol didn't tried these last 2 you said, will try although I doubt STC and framelimit off could really make impact

Nope, STC and framelimit off still doesn't help ;(

It's very strange this problem appears seeing as you have a nice graphics card. It happens on my non-gaming laptop all the time which has a bad integrated card. Similar can be seen in Super Mario Galaxy, where music plays but game crash and black screen.

That could be ultimately solved by turning to OpenGL plugin during a sequence, which results in horrible graphics but finishable storyline

Actually, good idea, I go try OpenGL plugin NOW. If I pass level I update driver Wink
Holy #@$# it worked in OpenGL, I passed level. Ocean did you played using GL or D3D? Only annoying thing was mouse pointer didn't hide in fullscreen with GL plugin, however, I felt ingame cursor movement was more smooth and responsive than in D3D. In D3D graphics were more sharp though - same resolution, probably because SSAA vs MSAA. Ingame cutscenes were slow in GL but gameplay good.

I only used DX9 to finish game. There is a possibility that different builds react differently during certain scenes. But when a bug such as yours occurs, it can be 99% of the time solved by switching to intepreter or OpenGL. It happens in a few other games as well (mario galaxy to name the most well known example). Good to know it worked

Ok so I tried to reinst. Dx, VC++ 2008 32 + 64 and latest NV driver. Still freezing. I used r5081 x64. I do believe its dolphin related and not my setup problem. With GL am already in last level now without problem. Hadn't problem in New Super Mario or Dead Space with DX plugin yet as well as in PC games. There must be a bug Wink
