I speedrun Super Mario Sunshine, and it is faster to keep the memory card out of the slot to skip saving times. However, I load the game from a time after the first cutscene. So I need to load a save, and once in the game, take the memory card out to skip save times. Is there a way to do this, with a hotkey or something conventient? Switching it from a Memory Card to a dummy also is fine.
Hotkey to insert/remove Memory Card?

Maybe don't use MC and save in Dolphin? I think that it gives such possibility (like every emulator - so You can save anywhere - not only in savepoints).

Oh, so what you're saying is to use a dummy memory card and just use a save state for the place I want to start. That would solve my problem I'm pretty sure 09-03-2015, 01:52 AM
Remember that if you do choose to use savestates, you can easily set a hotkey for saving and loading states. That should be useful for speedrunning.
