Horrible mayflash Gamecube lag

I did just start trying. And I cant get WUP-028 to show up anywhere. Every time it should be someowhere it says "MAYFLASH GameCube Controller Adapter"... and even then the USB Id isnt correct. What should I do? I have tried the troubleshooting steps on the guide with no luck.
