Mario Kart Wii Bloom Offset is at 80384b04
AR codes:
No Bloom:
04384b04 00000000

Slight bloom:
04384b04 3e800000

First one disables bloom without any bugs that I've seen yet. By default it is 3f800000 (1). You can set it to a float/decimal between 0 and 1 to correct the bloom a bit, but it's still too sharp. Can also change the value only at 8023505c, which may or may not look better.

Simply disabling scaled efb copies and nothing else makes heat haze look more blurry, but fixes bloom. Not sure there's any other effect from it, so I'd say that's an option as well.

HOTD Overkill is complex too. I don't think a simple offset fix would be enough, because it uses 80 pixel copies, which are quite blurry (until IR enlarges them).

HOTD Overkill improved bloom, only slightly different from normal. Not sure if I can get it better. The game also doesn't like gecko, so enable the code with the game running then disable it again a moment later - do not pause (this won't turn off the bloom fix, but will avoid gecko issues).

Hm, Dolphin tells me one line of gecko code is invalid. Is this normal (I get the option to ignore this line and continue parsing) or did I copy it wrong or something?

@Strip I think that's something with you. Are you just doing:
[Gecko]
$bloom
code
[Next section]

@zombie It still feels like it needs more tweaking. I like it more with no bloom. I'll try again later and try to unlock the carny level.

I found a way to resize efb copies in mario kart wii (it uses PSMTXScale, which I haven't seen other games doing), so I made an x4 bloom fix. Let me know if it's okay. Kinda hacky, but as with my other codes you can disable it after enabling it to avoid gecko issues. If it's good I can try to make an x8.

Hi.  This one is a Gecko code instead of AR?  What do you mean by disabling the code after enabling it?
Thanks for sharing these codes.

The code works fine. There are improvements, but not so significant.
