Quote:But if I'm able to run games that, according to the minimum req. specs, I shouldn't be running, then why do they run on my PC? Like Warhammer 40k, Dark Crusade. Runs a bit slow, but it runs well enough to play accurately.
The games are as either old as dirt itself or they don't make use of modern technologies such as shaders. Try running Far Cry or F.E.A.R. from 2005 or hell even Enter The Matrix, you won't even be able to launch those games with your current hardware. Some OpenGL games such as Doom 3 will run but they'll be slow as hell with your graphics hardware. Dolphin won't be able to run with either OpenGL or DirectX because:
A. Processor lacks support for SSE2.
B. Shader Model (Pixel/Vertex shading) either too low or non-existent.
C. OpenGL version too low and missing extensions.
Other than that, even if you could run Dolphin, it would be far too slow to be enjoyable. Gamecube/Wii and PS2 emulation rely on raw CPU power comparable to the graphics power that Crysis needs, even more so since emulation is more demanding than running a PC game natively.
Btw, the MX cards were a monumental flop that couldn't even run most games that were released around the same time it was released. The Geforce MX was barely just a step above what integrated technology was back in 2004/2005.
If you don't have money to shell out for a new system to run Dolphin decently, then don't, the actual Gamecube or Wii with some games would be much cheaper.
Btw, I don't see anyone being unfriendly. Being truthful isn't being unfriendly and we weren't even sure if you were being serious, but now it appears that you were.
