I recorded this using Shadowplay and it took an FPS hit (obviously) but without recording im hitting 50-57 fps and dipping slightly into the high 40's How can we get this to run just as good as the dev board did?

Granted this is on baby park one of the least demanding tracks on time trial but I wanted to see what you thought about it. Other tracks are okay but a bit sluggish and I understand that is expected.

Settings im using: Skipping EFB, ignoring format changes unchecked. EFB set to texture, External Frame Buffer set to virtual. Fastmem checked.

Thanks

Yea, with the PowerPC flags optimization there were speed regressions on ARM. This optimization was truly only for 64bit architectures since they handle 64bit values natively.
I had to rip out a large sum of instructions around the code that touched that stuff on ARM which caused a noticeable speed regression.

I'm hoping to fix these relatively quickly but other projects on Dolphin are taking up quite a bit of my time.

Ah cool!

So will we start to notice the same type of FPS range during more taxing courses on double dash with these fixes?
and will you have a seperate build for the shield tablet to utilize and optimize the power it has?

I have none of those settings on my Dolphin, and don't see a more recent Android version in the downloads page here at Dolphin-emu.org, I presume there are more recent builds available somewhere?

EDIT: Nevermind, found them.

I only get 40 fps on my Mipad in time trial on that course, likely as the Mipad renders Dolphin at 2048x1536, twice the pixels that the Shield tablet does, 1440x1080. Need some resolution settings adding pls.

I was able to get 50-54 FPS on the same map with my Shield Tablet on 4.0-2448. However that dropped to 40 on a larger map, and 17ish on that larger map in grand prix.

Erm, dolphin renders at 640 x 480 by default. And has resolution settings. Also, the shield's resolution is 1920 x 1200.

Yep but the Mipad has resolution of 2048x1536 or 4:3 ratio so Dolphin displays using the entire display. Shield has 1920x1080 resolution which is 16:9, Dolphin uses a 4:3 ratio so will use a piece in the center of 1440x1080.

I think you're missing the point. Dolphin renders at the same resolution regardless of device. Aspect ratio doesn't matter.
