Well if it freezes, then you can unplug the console and reboot it into recovery mode. I downrezed my Galaxy S6 from 1440x2560 to 720x1280 and it is also showing some small improvements. Also it seems to throttle way less now. I will try to lower the resolution more on the S6 but TouchWiz keeps crashing on resolution below 720x1280, unlīke my Nexus 9 which can go to any resolution. Maybe it is picky about the dpi.
