NO ROOT REQUIRED
WARNING: ONLY TESTED ON NEXUS 9 AND PARTIALLY ON A GALAXY S6. CHANGING RESOLUTION MIGHT CAUSE SOME OTHER DEVICES SYSTEM'S UI TO CRASH. I BEAR NO RESPONSIBILITY IF YOU CHOOSE TO FOLLOW THIS ADVICE AND MESS UP YOUR DEVICE.
Step 1: Enable USB Debugging on your device
Step 2: Connect device to PC, and open command prompt.
Step 3: type "adb shell wm size (put your resolution here - flip horizontal and vertical resolutions -example 720x1280 instead of 1280x720)." If you want to go back to a previous resolution, then write reset instead of putting the resolution.
Example: adb shell wm size 480x640
Optional Step 4: If you see everything on screen too big or too small, you can change your device's dpi by using this command "adb shell wm density (type dpi here)"
- Now I can actually get fullspeed in some of the outside areas in wind waker on my Nexus 9, and that is without Opengl 4.5/ES 3.2 or overclocking.
- Also, tales of symphonia runs with near perfect audio, and some battles run close to 60fps even with 4 characters and 4 enemies on screen.
