do you use a real Wiimote or emulated? I use a real WiiMote and normally it works fine. Also with that other SYSCONF I've found, this error message doesn't come up...only the language thingy sucks in that one.
Hm, when you open the WiiMote plugin, is the box checked next to Wii Motion Plus Connected? For me it's unchecked and greyed out.
