Hi,
I've been tinkering with the settings for over 5 hours and am exhausted from trying to get them right for my rig. I'm trying to run Metroid Prime. At first, I was having major problems with FR slowdowns with the graphics settings on somewhat high or medium. There was ALWAYS a long pause when I turned into the morph ball. I had turned the settings WAY down with what I started, but there were still noticeable slowdowns on occasion, which is really annoying and surprising to me, considering Diablo 3, Path of Exile, Starcraft 2, Civilization 5, Skyrim (with hundreds of mods), Elite Dangerous, blah blah blah blah all run flawless on the absolute highest possible graphical settings. I can even run Digital Combat Simulators on high settings. This was all going on when loading from the first save in the game on the Orpheon.
I saw that AMD processors are a suspect for problems, and I was wondering if that was the problem.
Now, at the save on Tallon IV, I am seeing no variation in visual quality or performance as I change almost all of the settings. I must have changed something that is not letting the resolution, Anti-Aliasing (AA), or Anisotropic Filtering (AF) changes actually take effect. I can go from lowest to highest with Internal Resolution, AA, AF, and any combination without seeing a single difference in quality. With all of these settings, the changes in visual quality were very apparent when I was first playing around with the settings at the Orpheon save station.
I mentioned the areas of the game that I was adjusting the settings in case this makes any difference, but it really shouldn't and I highly doubt it does.
note: I noticed "SafeTextureCacheColorSamples" and "EFBToTextureEnable" .ini files are both overridden.
Please help me troubleshoot this! I'm drained from trying all of this on my own and would greatly appreciate some help!
