IIRC, skid tried to multithread JIT compilation, but it didn't really speed up things. Not sure if he's still working on it, though.
Help with low FPS.

To me, if Dolphin were made purely "just for people to play games for «free»", then there would be... - no integrated debugger (using the -d command line (or shortcut) parameter); - no TAS recording feature (which isn't reserved to tool-assisted movies only, despite the name); - no Cheat Search feature in Tools->Cheats Manager (although I tend to rather use MHS to mess with various values in a player struct or whatever -- for someone with enough knowledge about hacking and MHS and Dolphin, that can serve as a free "alternative" to the USB Gecko); - no Software Renderer (a graphics renderer that isn't meant for playing, unlike OGL/DX9/DX11 -- is that some form of LLE rendering?); - no FIFO "Player" (which can record and playback all FIFO calls made to render graphics -- mainly for debugging, since it takes a lot of memory compared to input recording); - no LLE emulation engine for the DSP (to serve as an alternative to HLE audio emulation which doesn't have the same level of accuracy as LLE)... In other terms, skidau tried to split the CPU thread (mostly, JIT code execution and JIT code compilation) into two threads, huh? Something like that?

I don't know what he tried in detail, but I just asked him on IRC about it: Quote:<skid_au> it was unlikely to offer any/much improvement so i canned it.. dolphin's jit was not designed to be multi-threaded so there was a lot of work to make it threadsafe etc 07-30-2011, 02:46 PM
With everything I have read, how do I go into that level in mario sunshine and get 100% speed instead of 66. None of you have explained that yet. I had a quad core 3.2 GHz, a Radeon HD 6970, and 4 GB DDR3-1600 RAM. What more do you want? Im just asking: How do I get 100% instead of just 66%?

Try using D3D9 as your backend and setting your internal resolution to your desktop resoution and use 2x native mode and reply with your results.

You should uncheck RAM, but only in that level, since it's needed for the rest of the game
