We have a Video Game Club at my school, and I want to try playing Four Swords Adventures, with the GameCube+GBA so we can have 4 players. The only problem is, I don't know how to set that up, and I'm gonna have to be very familiar with how it works in order to get it up and running in time. I looked at the tutorial on the wiki, but understood none of it, and am pretty sure that it was describing Windows, not the Macs that we have for the club.

Can someone teach me the ways of the GBA connect, assuming that I have only basic knowledge of Dolphin?

This guide should work:

https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Four_Swords_Adventures#Game_Boy_Advance_.3C-.3E_GameCube_Connectivity

Here is a link to vba-m:

https://github.com/visualboyadvance-m/visualboyadvance-m/releases/tag/v2.0.1

Keep in mind this will run extremely slow and I'm not sure if it will even work on Mac.

What causes this slowness? Is it just the fact that there are 5 emulators running instantaneously, and if so, can we network a series of Macs together? Or is it just a Mac thing?

Partly, yes. Also I don't think you can use GBA link over a network.
