I am looking at my cpu while playing dolphin and the processor is only 1500 mhz in cpu-z and it should be 3000 mhz how an i stop it from underclocking it-self. When the procsessor is on the foll 3000 mhz sometimes the game runs flawless.

This is called speed stepping... it will run at full 3GHz when the cpu is being taxed enough to warrant the need for it. otherwise it runs in like a "power-save" mode that reduces the draw and speed of the cpu to just get by with easy tasks. Watch CPUz when you're actually doing something, like emulation or whatever, it will be full speed. 09-20-2009, 12:58 PM
