Hi all, so I'm running Dolphin version 5.0-11824, and I'm trying to control the wiimote cursor with my keyboard. So far, I've been told to enable a feature called "Relative Input", and then map the directions of the pointer to the appropriate keys on the keyboard. This method works for the most part, but whenever I let go of the buttons, instead of staying in the same position, the onscreen cursor immediately snaps to one of the four sides of the window, maintaining either the x or y axis of it's most recent position depending on the last held direction. How do I fix this?
Help with Controlling Emulated Wiimote Cursor Movement with Keyboard (WSAD)

Hi, sorry for the late reply, but yes, it appears to work normally on the controller config screen, unless what I'm seeing is wrong. Is the whole test/preview square supposed to be blue by default?

In fact, I'll just post a screenshot of what I'm seeing in the Motion Simulation Tab of The Wii controller settings:

Also, here's a recording of what exactly I mean:
https://imgur.com/HNrgNPu The parts where you see the cursor immediately snapping to the edge of the screen is when I left go of up down, left, or right (Or in this case, W,S,A or D). In the video, I use Lego Batman - The Videogame as an example. As you can see, It's impossible to make the cursor stop where I left it. This makes it impossible to aim precisely at an object without constantly moving the cursor, i.e. Targeting almost everything on the screen before you reach your target. 06-17-2020, 04:34 AM
Strange. Does this happen with default mouse controls? What about changing only your aim from defaults?

As soon as the mouse stops moving, yes, it snaps to the edge of the screen. I think it may have something to do with tilting, but I'm not sure. The Home Menu works fine for some reason, and the cursor behaves as it should, staying in the same place after letting go. About changing my aim from defaults, I'm not sure what you mean.

I was assuming the mouse would work correctly, so ignore that last part. Seems like we should have checked the game wiki first. https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?t..._Videogame So the game just does this. Dolphin might be able to work around this now, though. If the game doesn't use shaking the wii remote for anything, try right clicking each of the shake axes and put in something like Code: !`Click 2` If you do need to shake to play the game, try the above, but instead of setting the intensity low, click the three dots beside it and do something like this Code: `A`*9 + 0.5 06-19-2020, 10:49 AM
Thank You ever so much, it worked! I'm finally able to play my favourite games properly. Also, thanks for the advice about shaking. I hope this thread will help others with similar issues. Thanks for your help!
