HELP: WiiMote not working due to driver change

Hi Guys,

I have a problem with my WiiMote. It used to work perfectly for quite a while now.
However today I got the stupid idea, to use the WiiMote as a normal game controller too. And I downloaded a series of modified drivers called HID Wiimote by Julian Lohr. Installed those and yes, it is now recognized by Windows as a standard USB controller, but it no longer is detected by Dolphin as a real WiiMote.

I'm running Windows 10 64Bit, I don't have backup enabled so I can not revert to a previous state. I need to somehow revert to the default windows driver for the WiiMote, but I can't seem to find a way to do it. I tried uninstalling the new drivers, tried to manually find a driver in windows. It always responds that the most appropriate driver is already installed.

Anybody has any ideas?

Hi, if you want to use my driver, as well as be able to use Dolphin, you can manually swap them. After connecting the Wii Remote, open the Device Manager. Under Human Interface Devices, right-click on Wiimote Device and choose Update driver. Pick "Browse my computer for driver software", then "Let me pick...". In that list select "Bluetooth HID Device". To switch pack to HID Wiimote, follow those steps again and select Wiimote Device from that list.
If you want to uninstall my driver anyways, you can do so via Programs & Features. Just search for "HID Wiimote Driver Package" and uninstall it.

I'd like to add, that it is a known issue, that my driver is not compatible with Dolphin. However i am working on a driver mode that'll allow third party applications direct access to the Wii Remote.

Hi Julian, thank you very much for your quick reply.
I didn't expect to get an answer from you on this forum Smile
I also wrote you an e-mail, sorry to have bothered you.

I will try what you said and will report back. Once more, thanks a lot

Edit: That did work. Thanks a lot.
So I can use it as a controller for other pourposes now and switch back to a standard WiiMote when needed.
Can't wait for you new driver that will allow simultaneous work.
