HELP POKEMON XD WONT WORK

Sorry guys i cant figure this out i have been trying for days now...lol idk what to do about the issue...

So when i open pokemon xd it tells me there are no save files on memory card a. i tried putting one in there but it is not the right file or something please help me...i have a .sav file and like a .gci or something like that..

Have you tried importing the .gci file? Open up Dolphin, click on Tools->Memcard Manager (GC). For whichever memcard you want to import to (A or B, aka left or right) click on the icon up at the top, this should open a file dialog box to choose the memory card file where the save will go. You should have something under Dolphin's GC folder titled MemoryCardA.your-region-here.raw, so select that. Click the Import GCI button and locate your save. This should work fine, but always make a backup of your MemoryCard file first.
