Hey there,

long time lurker here. I just can't get it to work – hope you guys can help me out. Sad

- Windows 7 64bit (Intel i7 2600k, GTX970, 16GB RAM)
- Dolphin 5.0 (I tried stable + dev versions)
- Brandnew DolphinBar with newest firmware
- Brandnew original Wii Remote Plus with Nunchuk

- The Wii Remote and the DolphinBar connect flawlessy
- The DolphinBar is connected directly to the PC via an USB 2.0 port
- DolphinBar is set to mode 4
- Wii Remote 1 is set to "Real Wii Remote"
- Tried with and without Continous Scanning

Now, when I launch a game it says: "Wii Remote 1 disconnected". That's it. Nothing happens after that and it simply doesn't work.

The interesting thing is following: When I set the DolphinBar to mode 3 I can choose "Emulated Wii Remote" and then I'm able to configure my Wii Remote manually. So the Wii Remote does work with Windows, it simply won't work in mode 4 / when Dolphin is set to "Real Wii Remote".

What the hell is going on?

I mean, I could configure the Wii Remote myself and work with an emulated Wii Remote but it's really hard to configure IR functions.

Thanks in advance guys, your help is much appreciated.

Yeah, it's still on. No indication that the connection is interrupted whatsoever.

Oh, I forgot one thing: I read somewhere that the Wii Remote vibrates when it's connected to the DolphinBar. Is that correct? Mine hasn't done that at all.

I also tried it with another Wii Remote (original but without MotionPlus). Same problem.

I'm having the same problem, works as a mouse and a gamepad in non dolphin games. Thinking about returning everything.

Meh, it's really beyond frustrating. :/

That doesn't really mean anything. It just means it works with the DolphinBar and as a regular HID, because in mode 3 the DolphinBar merely exposes the Wiimote as a human interface device, not as an actual Wiimote.

No idea what's wrong in your cases though; it works perfectly fine here on Linux.

Thanks for your response.

Well, I'm starting to believe that it may be a problem with my OS. That's the only thing left I can think of. I'll try it on another machine (also Win 7 x64) and after that I will try it on my Macbook – just to rule out that it's not a problem with the DolphinBar itself or the Wiimote.

Another thing that came to my mind: I'm using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller on my PC. Is it possible that there are driver conflicts or something like that? I already tried disconnecting the wireless adapter from my PC. The controller itself is turned off anyway, so that can't be it.

Lastly I'd like to repeat my question from before: Does the Wiimote usually vibrate when it's connecting to the DolphinBar? Because both of mine don't. Maybe that's an indication to what's going wrong on my end? Huh

I'm not sure if it can cause conflicts, but imo it definitely could. And yes, Dolphin turns on a player LED and vibrate for <1s when it detects the remote.

I forgot about this earlier, but have you looked in Dolphin's logs? Enable error logging, and check for any errors from Wiimote related code

Alright, tested it with my Macbook – freakin' works. So it has to be a problem with my PC. Damnit.

Oh, and here are the relevant lines from the error log:

Code:
39:48:691 Main.cpp:550 N[Wiimote]: Not connected
39:49:699 IPC_HLE\WII_IPC_HLE_Device_usb.cpp:1571 E[WII_IPC_WIIMOTE]: HCI: CommandDeleteStoredLinkKey... Probably the security for linking has failed. Could be a problem with loading the SCONF
39:49:757 Main.cpp:550 N[Wiimote]: Connecting...
