Hello, I would like to set up a PC especially for "Dolphin" and "PCSX2", or other games less greedy (but not sure), what do you advise me as graphics card and processor?

I had spotted the "G4560", with a graphics card but I do not know which, namely if the processor bottleneck, otherwise may be another processor, it is to play in 1080p to PS2/NGC/Wii

Thank you in advance

What games? Tongue

It would be good if you could give us what budget you had in mind so we can tailor the system to meet those needs, otherwise we'll give you a list of $10,000 worth of computer parts Tongue

Well, that's a little more descriptive but I'm still not really sure what you want. Try this.

A reasonable budget gaming system. Pick your storage and case as that's always user preference.

You can go cheaper but then you'll start to lose the ability to get good framerates in normal PC games. The important part of emulation is how fast the CPU is at single threaded tasks, and the G4560 is *very* good at that.

If you want to have a reasonable comparison of CPUs for PCSX2/Dolphin then this site is pretty good

http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Intel-Pentium-G4560/Rating/3892

If you get a SC (Single Core) AVG of 100 or higher then you should be mostly fine for most games. Will you get 100% speed on 100% of X system's library... No. There are edge case games that no computer will run at full speed. There are also demanding games that might not run on anything that could be reasonably considered "budget". This is a synthetic test and not as good as the CPU comparison charts done on both forums, since they have real world data for the emulators to give a more accurate answer but this will cover more options.

GPU's are a whole other can of worms that have other considerations to consider including driver/backend support. So I will leave this up to someone who is not me running a GT 640 on my emulation computer since I don't use enhancements or play above native resolution (well at least not on Dolphin)

GPU wise I'd say take nVidia hands down since the only back-end really being worked on in PCSX2 is the OpenGL one which is horribly slow on Intel iGPU's or AMD-cards, also I wouldn't want you to use older tech (since you are building a new PC) so I would recommend either the 1050ti for basic gaming/emulation or the 1060 6GB if you also want to use it for 1080p Ultra gaming with more recent PC games.

It really depends on your budget. If you are really tight I think a GTX750 or a GTX950 might suffice as well for emulation and "older" PC games, but always remember that these are older tech. Apparently there is also a 1030 coming for about $70 US, that might be an option as well but they are not out yet.
Check my profile for up to date specs.
