Would you say it would be worth me upgrading the CPU from an i7 3630QM to an I7 3740QM

I would have to sacrifice the 120gb ssd as well but I doubt that's too much of a problem

It's an extra £100 but they have changed a few things on the website so I can afford it now.
15.6 Vortex III LE
i7 3740QM 2.7 ghz (3.7 ghz Turbo boost)
NVIDIA GTX 670M 1.5gb DDR5
8gb RAM
120 gb SSD
500gb seagate momentus XT hybrid
windows 7 x64

A CPU upgrade is always better, but it depends on your budget. If you can afford, get the better CPU Wink

http://ark.intel.com/products/71459/Intel-Core-i7-3630QM-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_40-GHz vs. http://ark.intel.com/de/products/70847/Intel-Core-i7-3740QM-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_70-GHz

I'd say there is about 10-15% speed increase

Nvidia 600 series is known for having idle issue with Dolphin (GPU clock speed is clocked at 200MHz when dolphin is runnning)
If your GPU have this problem , just pull "Texture Cache" slider (Dolphin - Graphic - Hack) between "safe" and "fast" or just set it to "safe" or use high settings to force that GPU : 4x Internal Resolution , no AA , 16 AF
You can check this thread for more info
