in the config are you using safe texture cache?
Checkout my latest project ( it is a program that downloads and compiles dolphin on mac and linux now): http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu-downloader (It's unofficial and maintained by me, not the dolphin dev team) 12-31-2009, 05:07 AM
That and the DX9 plugin is generally inferior (graphics wise) to the OpenGL plugin... sadly DX9 almost always gives better FPS.

I have safe texture cache checked in there.
This happens to the 2D portraits in Fire Emblem as well. So there's nothing I can do about it, huh? 12-31-2009, 06:16 AM
Mm....You could wait this get fixed in future REVs.
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Professional x86

I've noticed that in some 3D games, having Copy EFB to RAM checked makes the graphics look very much more pixellated and ugly that with it off. Try changing it to Copy EFB to texture and see if that affects anything. It's in the third tab of the D3D9 plugin.
